Follow the map

In time’s past, I used to enjoy watching Dora the Explorer with my youngest niece. As I reminisce, I can hear her baby voice echoing the words “Swiper no swiping,” as that of Dora and her sidekick, Boots. If you’re not familiar with the show, it followed Dora and Boots on some wild and often challenging adventures, as they sought to reach their destination without incident. Whenever they wanted to either get to someone or go somewhere, they would always call on “the map.” After calling on it for help, the map would then sing (Lyrics by Josh Sitron):

If there is a place you got to go
I am the one you need to know
I’m the Map!
I’m the Map!
I’m the Map!

If there is a place you got to get
I can get you there I bet
I’m the Map!
I’m the Map!
I’m the Map!

I’m the Map!
I’m the Map!
I’m the Map!
(9x)

And just as he promised, he’d get them to their destination. Isn’t it amazing how God will do the same? It doesn’t matter where you are or where you need to go, God will see to it that you make it to your destined location. Just as Boots and Dora, you will encounter some opposition, but it’s nothing God can’t get you around or over. Truly, He is the one and only map! No matter how scary the path, the number of twists and turns you make, if you veer off course, or get lost, always refer to the map; God, that is. He knows the way and will see to it that you get there.
