Notes by La'Rue

A lot of times, I don’t see my growth until I go back and read past posts. Almost five years since the creation of Notes by La’Rue, I’ve written 650 notes (as of today), and I can totally see how I’ve evolved. My idea of NBL was to create a platform where I could offer support for those battling with a Mental Illness and hope to others bound by the darkness. However, God’s intent was for me to share Him with others and let them know He is the light in their darkness. I guess you can say mission accomplished! It hasn’t been easy navigating from my goal of this blog to God’s. For a while I didn’t think I could do it, or didn’t want to do it, I should say, but I did. It was only because He helped me. There have been days I’ve almost not posted a particular note, out of fear of rejection and opposition. But I asked myself, “Which is more important? One’s opinion, or the Word of God?”  

There may come a time in your life where your original mission changes, but what’s new won’t be impossible. You’ll have questions, concerns, or even be one of the opposed, but don’t let it stop you from doing what’s right, no matter how many deem it to be wrong. I’m unapologetically a believer (of God and Christ), and without a shadow of a doubt, I believe I’m doing what God has purposed me to do. Are you?
