When I’m excited about something God has shown or promised me, I can’t hide it. I want every listening ear to hear my joy and great news, but it’s not always handled well. A couple of days ago, I begin to share a plan that I believe was revealed to me regarding the next phase of my life, when I felt a tugging in my spirit not to. I wasn’t confused or thrown off by the feeling, because I’d felt it before and knew exactly what it meant.
It meant that I should err on the side of caution before divulging anything, especially prematurely. It meant that dreams or visions are sacred and not to be shared with just anyone, because that very someone is paying more attention than you think. In fact, if you’re not too careful, they could lead you to believe the vision is great, but the advertises that lies ahead are greater.
The goal is to take your focus off of the vision and place it on opposition. If you’re distracted and paralyzed with fear, you can’t move forward with God’s plan for your life. As exciting as your news may be, keep it a secret. When the time is right, God will reveal all!
