Temporary pain, permanent position

If you haven’t learned by now, especially from my redundancy in storytelling, Joseph (The Prime Minister of Egypt) is one of my favorite people in the Bible. I am so moved and inspired about his story, because despite his opposition and ill intentions of the enemy, he prevailed, although it didn’t look as though he would. I was sitting in my office yesterday morning listening to a prophetic word, and God shared that, “The pain you’ve experienced is temporary, but where I’m about to position you will be permanent.” For some of us, that can be quite hard to believe, because it seems the pain we’re experiencing, isn’t showing any signs of letting up.

No matter how much praying, crying, fasting you’ve done, or the level of pain you’ve endured, you’re still in a place you’ve been dying (literally) to get out of. Days, weeks, months, and years even, have passed, and you’re still held captive wondering if you’ll make it out. Has anyone ever told you that you remind them of someone? If not, let me tell you first; you remind me of Joseph. A man who was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, because they didn’t like him for two reasons: God had a calling on his life, and their father loved and favored him more than he did them.

I’m not sure what circumstances led you to being in the pit, but I know what or who I should say, will get you out. I know you’re hurting, and if you’ve gone through what I have or worse, I’m pretty sure you’ve probably given up (at least a million times) thinking your present situation is permanent. After all, it must be, because you’ve been dealing with it for years. But it’s not. It’s temporary; meaning it will come to an end! The question is, “Are you willing to stick it out to find out?”

Until next time my NOTE takers!
