The Settler

Are you a settler? What have you bargained God to give you that is not the best thing, and not the worst either? Maybe you have waited years to own a home, and because you’re still renting and not buying, you’ve decided to settle for a nice apartment, because it’s about as close as you’re going to get to luxury. Perhaps you’ve been working hard to open your own business, but since you’ve failed to acquire the funds to start, you’re okay and content with working for someone else; after all, the business is “never going to happen anyway.” Have you been praying and waiting to hear the pitter patter of little feet, but no matter what you do, you womb is still empty? Rather than try and seek alternative measures, or God even, you settle on the idea that it wasn’t meant for you to be a mother, although your “maternal instincts” say otherwise.

At some point in our lives, we’ve all settled for something, rather it be a job or wrong relationship. We’ve all accepted less than what we wanted because we either felt we’d never get better, or didn’t deserve it. However, you deserve everything your hearts desire, and if it’s God’s will, He WILL give it to you! Stop settling, and expect more!

Until next time my NOTE takers!
