Positioned for the position

Sometimes it’s best not to gripe and complain about our situation, because more times than often, God is using that position to get us ready for the next one. I work in higher education and have done so for the past 13+ years. Loving what I do is a complete understatement, as I’ve never been more enthused, excited, and completely happy about a job. Although I’ve had a minor setback a couple of years ago, God put me right back on track, and in my element. Prior to being where I am now, I previously worked for another institution, where I held several positions. Little did I know, the position I dreaded most, has ultimately helped me execute my job effectively, and amazingly well, if you ask me. However, there’s no way you could’ve convinced me of this back then because I was too busy trying to find a way out. That was one of the most unsettling times of my life, because I knew there was so much more to me than what I was doing, yet what I was doing positioned me to where I am today, which is a much better place. As with Joseph, he was thrust into a place that he didn’t think was fair, nor ever thought he get out of. Unbeknownst to him, God used his imprisonment to position him for the position of Prime Minister of Egypt. Talk about leveling up!

If you’ve been feeling bound and anxious that there’s no way out, try sitting still for a while. Don’t obsess over the situation, get frustrated, angry or curse the day you were born, like Job. Instead, maintain your position, until God positions you for greater!

Until next time my NOTE takers!
