When I was working on my Bachelors degree, many years ago, there was one class I made certain to avoid; Research Methods. Whenever I’d meet with my Academic Advisor, she would always stress to me that I needed to take that class right away, because it was one of my most difficult ones, and would serve me best if I’d take it by itself, and get it over with. However, during the registration period, I’d enroll into the class, and then wait until the very last day to drop it without penalty. This continued for two years, until I finally decided to change course and enrolled into a program that I not only wanted to pursue, but loved. I sometimes feel as though I wasted two years of my life doing what I thought would bring me wealth, but all it did was bring me to my senses. From that point onward, I realized my place was not in the courtroom (as I had aspirations to be an attorney), but on the bookshelf. I am living out my dream, and if you still have one, I suggest you’d do the same. Don’t spend the rest of your life wondering, when you can start now by doing.
Until next time my NOTE takers!
