I often dread this day, because I’m always met with loneliness, instead of the desired flowers, balloons, and over showering of love. I try my best to steer clear of social media, so I won’t be bombarded with the engagements, hallway floors and beds covered in rose petals, gifts and other sentiments you’d typically see on Valentine’s. While I do believe everyone has a right to showcase their happiness, I also believe others fake theirs, to convince viewer’s and themselves, that they’re in love, when in reality, they desperately want to be. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a wonderful feeling to be loved, in love, thought of, and doted on, but it’s an even greater feeling when it’s done always, and not just one day. This is not an attack on the “lovers” or participants of Valentine’s, but a reminder to those who wish they could bypass this day, or feel left out when it comes. Although you might not have someone that you call the love of your life, it’s okay, because you’re already the love of someone else’s life; God! He shows His love and celebrates you everyday, so He’s not limited to just this one.
Until next time my NOTE takers!
