Recently, an acquaintance and I were discussing some rather difficult hurdles she was struggling to get over. She stated, “I keep having all of this bad stuff happen to me, one right after the next, and I wish it’d stop.” Immediately, I emphasized with her, and jokingly stated, “Sounds like we have a lot in common.” Although she was dealing with a lot, she was incredibly optimistic and hopeful that God would turn her situation around. Immediately, I wanted to drink from her cup, because whatever she had, I needed it. After sharing our testimonies, she left me with this little nugget, “Deetra (my first name), everything you are going through, God has allowed. He is using all the attacks, hardships and struggles to shape and mold you, and to build your character. Once you are where He needs you to be, then He’ll tell the devil, that’s enough! If you don’t believe me, ask Job.” Afterwards, she smiled and walked away.

I shared that to say, don’t worry; the hedge will be back soon! Once it does, nothing or no one will be able to touch you! Keep trusting God. He knows what He’s doing, and He’s with you even when it doesn’t feel like it.
