It’s no secret that I struggle with anxiety, and have for many years now. Some days are so bad, I can’t even move, mainly out of fear. While I have gone to therapy and take medicine to treat it, it still can be very overwhelming. I almost hate to explain my situation to people, because they either question if anything’s “really wrong,” or I’m ridiculed for it. Either way, rather than allow my anxiety or others to get the best of me, I instead chose to fight back! I don’t take mental illness lightly, nor do I take to people making me feel bad, because I suffer from it, and neither should you. Do whatever you need to for yourself, and take care of your mental health!
Regardless of the stigmas associated with having a mental illness, get the help you need. It doesn’t matter who’s against it or you! Remember, if God is for you, who can be against you!
