Forgotten in the pit

Without a shadow of a doubt, I know a lot of people have carried the same issues and problems from 2021 until this new year. It doesn’t matter how difficult or painful they were, they’re unwilling to let it go, which I know firsthand can be pretty hard to do. More than anything, most of the people I’ve had conversations with, namely myself, feel completely hopeless, helpless, but most of all forgotten. No matter how many times you’ve cried out to, prayed and petitioned God to change your situation, nothing’s changed, except for you and no doubt your attitude towards Him. How do I know? Because I am you. Nonetheless, I’ve got great news for you!

Are you familiar with a man named Joseph? He was favored by his father Jacob, and because of this, his brothers burned with jealousy and envy, so much so, they concocted a plan to kill him. However, because Joseph was called according to God’s purpose, He turned what his brothers deemed bad, around for his good. While he was wrongfully sold into slavery and imprisoned, God was with him always. There were many times Joseph felt forgotten in the pit by God, but little did he know, God would soon take him from the pit to the palace.

Are you feeling forgotten? Do you need reassurance that God can (and will) change your situation? Let Joseph’s story and the stories of those closest to you, who have seen the prominent hand of God, be proof that if He did it for them, He’ll do it for you! It can be so easy to become discouraged, but I want to encourage you not to. Have hope and faith that things will change, even if this year looks like the old one.

Until next time my NOTE takers!
