Pardon Me

That imaginary jail cell you have confined the people who’ve hurt you to, unlock the doors and release them at once. Whether it’s five or ten years of hurt you’ve been holding onto, while punishing them for it, now is the time to pardon them. You don’t have to forget what they said or did, nor do you have to be friends with them again, but you do need to forgive and move on. Forgiveness doesn’t mean you’ve allowed them get away with what they’ve done or you’ve overlooked their actions, but it does mean you don’t allow it to stop you from living. Honestly, I don’t know what does more damage, the offense or your unwillingness to forgive. Either way, learn to pardon others, just as God has you!

A lot of people are still harboring resentment and allowing past hurt to keep old wounds open, however, no more solitary confinement within your mind. It’s time to forgive, move on, and heal!

Until next time my NOTE takers!
