I’m sure everyone has watched Netflix’s most popular show, Squid Games, and for those of you who haven’t, “Why?” Nonetheless, I was reading an article on Hwang Dong-hyuk, the Writer and Creator of the show, and it left me so inspired. He stated that it took him 10 years (yes 10), to get the show picked up by a major network. He continued how he once had to “sell the laptop he used to write the show, because he needed the money.” Although he was rejected by many distributors, he never gave up on his dreams of making Squid Games what he knew it to be, a huge success! It amazes me, because no matter the obstacles he faced, he continued to keep going. Reportedly, it took him 10 years to make 100 million dollars, per his deal with Netflix, yet so many people want to give up after 10 tries. Hwang Dong-hyuk is another prime example of it doesn’t matter how many rejections or no’s you get, keep knocking on doors, because the next one will probably open.

Don’t give up on your dreams, even if no one believes them, but you!
