I applied for a new job. Although I haven’t gone on the interview, or been offered one, I already have the position. Not because I’m qualified, not because I’m a “shoe in,” but because I’m the best person for the job! The company doesn’t have to tell me that, because I’ve already told myself! I’ve also told myself, that if I want or desire something, all I need is to have faith, pray, and believe as though I already have it. Several years ago, during watch night service at church, my Pastor preached a sermon entitled, “Living in expectancy.” To paraphrase, he stated that, “He wakes up every morning expecting a blessing from God.” From that point, I started to expect the same. Granted, I might not have gotten many of the things I’ve prayed to God for, each day I’m alive is still a complete blessing. Not only that, when I “live in expectancy,” nothing ever comes to me unexpectedly, because I’ve been expecting it.
No matter who you are, where you are, or what you are going through, whatever it is you’re expecting from God, act like you already have it, and when you get it, you won’t be surprised!
Until next time my NOTE takers!
