A lot of times, we avoid having "difficult conversations" with our family, friends and colleagues, because we don't want to hurt their feelings. Not wanting to be the "bad guy", we side-step discussions that could potentially cause a lot of heartache and pain, out of fear of stepping on one's toes. However, people need to know that they are not alone in their situation, no matter how difficult it may be.
