Unlikely places

We might not know the circumstances that led to an individual’s behavior or unsound choices, but sometimes, good people do bad things. Trust me, I know. I used to be one of the “bad guys”. Granted no one is perfect, it doesn’t mean that what they’ve done, should be used as a measure as to how they should be treated. I know people make mistakes, so I don’t try to hold them hostage to their past, especially when they are trying to get past it. Love and friendship are two of the best things you can have, and are often found in the most unlikely places. I’m fortunate to have found both! Although it’s unconventional, it’s not understood either. While I understand the reservation, I also understand that people do change, because I have.

Please, don’t be so quick to overlook people, just because you can’t look past their mistakes. When you do, you miss out on knowing some really good people, because you’re too busy remembering the bad things they’ve done!

Until next time my NOTE takers!

Writefully yours,

Deetra La’Rue
