He knows you want it, and you want it bad! If you had it your way, you’d take it right now, but you wouldn’t be able to handle it all at once. Instead, He’ll give you just a taste, to keep you hanging on, because He knows that you know that no one can do what He can. You can beg and plead all you want, but your desperateness is not contingent upon how fast He comes, which is all the more reason why He’s making you wait. Besides, if He gave you everything you wanted when you wanted it, after awhile, He’d be of no use to you.

But, because you are nothing without Him, God will give you excerpts (or bits and pieces) of your blessings, just so you can continue to seek Him, because so many people are choosing not to. After all, He is your supplier and you can’t get what you need from anyone other than Him. Sometimes I sit back and think about all the crazy, ridiculous and outlandish demands I asked of God, knowing very well, had He given me all I asked for at once (i.e. marriage, babies, etc.), I would’ve lost it! At that particular time in my life, I was not mentally ready, so there’s no way I could’ve handled my blessings, because I would’ve been overwhelmed by them.

You may still be hanging on to a prayer/prayers that you feel won’t ever get answered, but that’s not to say that they won’t. He just won’t give it to you right now, because you aren’t able to handle the magnitude of it. Remember, when God does things, He does them BIG, so whatever you’re asking for, get ready, but most important, be prepared!
