Hey girl, let me talk to you for a minute. You’ve just had one of the biggest accomplishments of your life to occur, and while there are some people you thought would root for you, they chose to keep quiet instead. Don’t worry. You don’t need the applause, because the cause is greater. I want you to listen to me when I say this. You are more valuable than you think, and if you weren’t worth anything, people wouldn’t care about you. But, they do. They care, because they know your elevator is going up and not stopping on any floors, especially theirs. Besides, you can’t risk opening the doors up to someone who’s intent on taking you back down. You’ve come too far to stop now, so continue to pass them by, because where you’re going, they’ll never reach.
I don’t want to scare you, but I hope you know how to fight. I’m not talking about physical, because the battles you’ll be in, are mental and emotional. People are going to try and get in your head, and cause you to lose focus, because they know 2020 is clearly yours. They’re coming with some heavy stuff, but don’t allow any of it to weigh you down. Things are going to happen so fast and although it will take a bit of an adjustment, it’s nothing you can’t adapt to. The higher the heights, the bigger the fights, but don’t fret, because you’ve already won! I hope you are excited, because I am and I couldn’t be more happier for you!
Alright, Deetra. You’ve had your pep talk, and now it’s time for you to do what you were purposed to do!
