Too many people are living comfortably on “cruise control”. Although they want to excel in life, they’re too afraid to accel. They’ve been going at the same speed for years, and refuse to press the gas. Even though they want to reach their desired destination, they’re unwilling to do what is necessary to get them there. Instead, they’ll detour and take any available alternate route that will lead them to their destiny, but causes them a major delay. As they begin to question the reason it’s taking too long, God reveals to them, you’ve taken “one too many brakes”. On many occasions, God has tried to elevate you, by accelerating you, but you chose not to move. I’m not sure if it’s the result of fear or running into a roadblock or dead end, but if God has something for you, then nothing can get in the way of it.
If you want what God has for you, be in such a hurry to receive it, that you won’t allow anything or anyone to slow you down. You’ve got to be willing to “go at lengths” and “drive the distance” to obtain what’s yours. When you’re on your way to a place where God has asked you to meet Him, sometimes, it’s going to take a little speeding to get you there!
