Giving you the best that I’ve got

I’m working on a book where I constantly stress the importance of how impactful words are, and how you react to them. They can either lift you up or pull you down. Make you happy or cause you to be sad. Make you better or have you at your absolute worse. When you allow what people say to you affect you, then it effects who you are. Regardless of how I feel about myself, If someone constantly tells me I’m nothing, then I won’t feel as though I have any value. I can be my biggest cheerleader, but if someone tells me I’m nothing to get hyped up about, suddenly the cheers would stop. I can have the confidence of David and the beauty of Esther, but if I’m told I’m dumb and ugly, then “I am what they say I am”.

No you’re NOT! You are the best, because you come from the best and He wants the BEST for you! You were created in the likeness of His image, so if you are a reflection of God, how can you be anything less than good? It’s easy for me to accept who someone says I am, when I’m not real sure of myself. Essentially, their reality becomes mine, which is one big distortion. However, if you stand any chance at survival, you’ve got to kill their negative thinking. Make it a point to give yourself daily positive affirmations to combat what they say and become so unbothered by their negativity, that even they have to question whether or not they should say anything at all!

Until next time my NOTE takers!

Writefully yours,
